We are not a puppy mill. This litter in 2012 is our first. Keiko and Raiden are our pets (along with our other dogs). Our puppies were born in our den and stayed there until about 5 weeks old. They've been played with, loved on and nurtured just as if we were going to keep them ourselves. We love them all very much and are quite concerned about the homes in which they will live. We want them to be loved and cared for as we love them and care for them.
Keiko's full name is Keiko Second Strike. Rick had an Akita named Keiko before, and we loved the name, thus the "Keiko Second". Strike is from her sire's name. Keiko means lucky or blessed child in Japanese.

Raiden's registered name is Raiden's Triple Threat. Although it sounds like it was intentional with the "second" and "triple", his father's name is Thor's Triple Threat, so again, we kept the name of the father. Ironically, we had picked out the name Raiden before finding him, and we thought his father's name was Diesel. That's just his pet family name. His registered name is Thor's Triple Threat. Interestingly enough, Thor is the god of thunder, and Raiden means god of thunder and lightning in Japanese (Rai means thunder and Den means lightning). We considered it a sign! Okay, it was just a coincidence, but a really neat one. Raiden's pedigree includes a champion. We encourage all our dog parents to register their puppies.

We also feed our dogs, adult dogs and puppies alike, Bil-Jac dog food and highly encourage our puppy parents to do the same.
