Hello, my name is Marissa and my family and I are the proud new owners of not one but TWO Akita puppies! My husband and I decided it was time to entertain our 3 rambunctious boys with a puppy and after doing extensive research on different breeds of dogs, we both decided that an Akita would best suit our wants and needs. Unfortunately after days and days of attempting to locate a healthy and legitimate breeder, all we came across were puppy mills and outrageous scams! I was just about to call it quits, when I came across an ad from bandrakitas on ebayclassified.com. I have to admit, after countless disappointments, I was skeptical but decided to go ahead and research the ad a little further. Boy am I glad that I did! I received a response that very day concerning the puppies they still had. Rick and Brenda were extremely helpful to both my husband and I in answering any questions we had; putting our doubts about this being a scam to the wind. They were so helpful that they even met us halfway in Bastrop (so that we did not have to drive so long with the kids) AND they brought not one but two puppies for us to look at since we just couldn't make up our minds looking at the beautiful pictures we saw on the website. When we met in Bastrop, I knew we made the right choice to buy an Akita from Rick and Brenda. You could just feel the love they have for their puppies oozing. They even brought their oldest daughter who wanted to make sure to say good-bye in case we decided to pick her "baby". I don't know of any puppy mills that talk to or treat their dogs in such a manner.

After about a 45min debate on which dog to take we finally decided to take the boy Lightning. Our oldest boy fell in love with him immediately and has been attached ever since. The younger two boys liked the girl dog better and that's all we heard on the drive home so....after yet another debate, we decided to drive back to Bastrop yet again three days later to pick her up (and break their daughter's heart- we're sorry). And once again Rick and Brenda were willing to meet us there without any hesitations. In fact they were excited that we brought Lightning along for the ride, and so was he! It was nothing but kisses all around from him. We picked up Nike and away we went...myself, hubby, 3 boys, 1 baby girl, and 2 puppies and it's been an adventure ever since. The younger two are happy with their girl, the oldest with his boy, and I'm happy that they're happy. I get to watch ALL the kids play and wrestle outside, and honestly I don't know who wears who out because everyone (dog and child alike) is exhausted when they are done.

Brenda has been so helpful, allowing me to call her with the silliest question I might have about their behavior and training. She even calls to check up on them! We are very blessed to have come across their website, and I would tell anyone looking into obtaining a puppy to look them up!

Update on one of our boys! This is one Carly and I had called Slick and Rick and I had taken to Ft Worth to meet Mr. Jackson and the puppy be a surprise for his family (see adoption page) Here's an update we just received:

After a day of calling him Titus it just didn't fit. We ended up naming him Kuma - meaning big as a bear.

We love having Kuma. He is doing awesome. We had a trainer come to the house and give us awesome tips on the best way to care for him and teach him to be a good boy. He is been absolutely perfect :)

I'll send a few photos to follow this email. One is of my son making him say cheese!!!!  Super funny.

Thanks for sharing these great dogs.

The Jacksons

(Notes under photos are from Brenda)

How impossibly adorable is THIS? And I think he knows it, too.

Hey, puppy on a leather sofa! SPOILED!

Bedtime in his room with his tiger (if you look at the adoption page, you will see him with the boys and this tiger in their living room -- he loves this tiger!!)
SAY CHEESE!!!

Hi my name is Stacie i am the proud owner of Zeva Storm!! Me and my fience have been looking for months and months for the perfect Akita we ran across Brenda and Rick on the ebayclassified.com.. we contacted them and went out that day and fell in love!!! The puppies were very well taken care of and they were not a puppy farm!! So me and my fience knew we were getting very happy healthy puppy. And that was one of our biggest concerns.. Brenda and Rick are great people to also deal with, they can make you feel at home as well.

Thanks for your time!!!!!! You will definitely have peace of mind and great pups!!!
 THANKS,
 STACIE!

Hi, my name is Josh and my fiancé Stacie and our two children are the proud owners of a beautiful female Akita named Ziva Storm. When Stacie and I started our search for an Akita we knew we were taking on a big challenge. This breed is well known for being highly intelligent, active, and becoming easily bored and destructive to furniture if not continuously challenged. We wanted a puppy from a verifiable bloodline that would have all of the dominat traits of this great breed: loyalty to family, high intelligence, and a strong will to please and succeed at everything they do, to name a few. We searched for quite a while and found that most available puppies appeared to be the product of "puppy farms". Then we discovered Rick and Brenda's ad. They immediately invited us up to meet the puppies (even though they had to stay up late to accommodate us). Rick and Brenda answered every question we had and provided documentation to support their answers. Not only did we receive a new family member in Ms. Ziva Storm, we also made some great friends!! Thank you Rick, Brenda, and your daughter for taking such great care of our baby till we were able to come back and bring her home. - Josh

Hi! We are the proud new owners of Bailey! Two years ago my husband, Jim, and I bought our first Akita. We immediately fell in love with him. For the last two years we have been contemplating buying another one and when our daughter told us she wanted a puppy for her 6th birthday we decided it was time! We began our search and within hours stumbled upon Rick & Brenda's ad. After conversing through email and looking at the blog we decided that Bailey (Duece-second born female) had to come home to us. She has been such a great addition to our family and our daughter loves her. She carries her around everywhere! I would say that she is a bit spoiled already! We were hesitant at first to introduce her to our male Akita (Rayden) since he is 2 years older and has been the only dog in the house but within minutes they were playing. We just want to take this time to thank Rick & Brenda for everything!! She is just perfect!
Jim & Jaima
